Each individual signing the document must appear in person and present a valid picture ID such as: Government ID • Driver's License • Passport • Military ID
Documents & Signer's Identification for Notarization
It's important to have all your documents and identification ready for the notary. If you don't have an ID, for example the Driver's licenses for your parent living in a retirement home, call us and we can prepare a credible witness form before we arrive.
Commonly Notarized Documents
See the list of forms that can be notarized and forms that cannot be Notarized. Also note that a copy of a passport cannot be notarized as a True Copy of the document in the state of Texas, However, we can notarize YOUR sworn statement that it is a copy of your passport.
Pro-Tip: Don't Remove the Staple from your Documents
Don't remove the staple from the document! If the staple is removed you run the risk of a third party refusing to accept the document as it may appear that the document has been tampered with.

- Faxed or copied signatures: A photocopied signature may never be notarized.
- Backdate or forward date a notarization: We cannot backdate or forward date a notarization. The document can bear the date it is created or becomes effective, but document is notarized with the dated the day the notarization.
- Preparing or choosing the document: Notaries are prohibited from preparing or choosing the documents for signing. The only forms we have are notarization forms when one isn’t provided with the document to be notarized.
a notary cannot notarize the document under these circumstances:
- If signer is not physically present.
- If the document contains missing pages or blanks that should be complete at the time of notarization.

- If the notarial certificate is blank.
- If the signer cannot be positively identified through personal knowledge or satisfactory evidence of identification.
